Created by Mike using Cedar, Oak, Walnut and White Pine wood. Some of these woods were acquired from Mike's father and grandfather from the North Carolina Mountains. These bird houses can be hung in a tree, placed on a pole, or set on the patio/deck. Bird houses are designed for sparrows, wrens, finches, and most of all Blue Birds. Sometimes if the entry hole is increased slightly, we get flying squirrels. If the hole is increased to as much a 3 inches to 3.5 inches, owls make their home in these bird houses. The houses are not Kits. The houses are custom built with thicker walls as research has shown that birds are attracted to nesting sites that offer better insulation and security for their babies.
